Take a trip to Plänterwald this weekend to visit the Kita Hummelflug for the Hummelflug Kindergarten Flohmarkt. This market, taking place on Saturday, has lots on offer. From children’s clothes and shoes, perfect for the upcoming cooler weather, to toys and games, the market is sure to have what you are looking for. In addition to the items in the market, the event will also have food and drink, as well as entertainment for children.

🎶 Das grüne Haus - Musiktheater @ Zimmer 16

With two showings this Saturday, reserve your tickets for “Das grüne Haus” on at Zimmer 16. The show. This musical event is based on the stories and poems of Berlin poet Paula Dehmel and tells the stories of the world all around, bringing magic to life. The story is accompanied by instruments and includes multimedia elements sure to spark the imagination of young viewers. Be sure to reserve your ticket by email at least one day before the show.

🚂 18. Berliner Eisenbahnfest @ Bahnbetriebswerk Schöneweide
Sat 23/09, 10.00-18.00, Sun 24/09, 10.00-17.00, all ages
The Bahnbetriebswerk Schöneweide opens its doors this weekend for the 18th Berliner Eisenbahnfest. With more than 20 trains and wagons on display at the depot, visitors will have the opportunity to explore, visit the children’s railway, take rides, and attend tours on historic trains. See the way these machines work, and enjoy refreshments in a historic dining car. City tours on the trains take place at 11.00, 13.00, and 15.00, and entry must be paid in cash.

🌳 Traditionsfest mit grünem Markt @ Späth’schen Baumschulen

The Späth’schen Baumschulen has been around for over 300 years, and this weekend, they invite visitors to celebrate the season at their Traditionsfest mit grünem Markt. The event taking place on both Saturday and Sunday has a full program with highlights including unique and bright blooming flowers, a garden market with over 120 vendors, themed gardens, apple tasting, and a children’s area in a craft tent with entertainment and a carp pond.

🎃 Das größte Kürbiswiegen der Welt 2023 @ Spargelhof Klaistow

We’ve talked about Spargelhof Klaistow before as a great place to pick fruit during the different seasons. With the start of fall, the farm outside of Berlin has many activities to celebrate. This Sunday is a chance to see pumpkins from visitors near and far who travel to the event to have their pumpkins weighed for a chance at winning the largest pumpkin. Other festivities at the farm include an ongoing pumpkin exhibition and the corn maze, which can be visited in addition to the event. Note that while the event starts at 11.00, pumpkins will be weighed at 14.00.

🎻 Klassik für Babys - Babykonzert @ Zitadelle Spandau

Join for another wonderful Babykonzert. This Sunday at Zitadelle Spandau, two performances will take place that are created just for babies to enjoy. The chamber music is selected to engage and immerse visitors, young and old, as children have the opportunity to experience it in a warm and welcoming environment. Each performance is 1 hour, and it is recommended to bring everything your baby will need to feel happy during the show, including a crawling blanket or mat.
