It’s time for another exciting weekend of family events in Berlin. This weekend, we have compiled a great list of activities to enjoy. 🌊 Familien-Pool-Party @ Kinderbad Monbijou

Sat 26/08, 14.00-18.00, ages 7-10

Enjoy a family pool party at Kinderbad Monbijou this weekend, complete with a DJ, to really make the party come alive. The pool will be transformed with colorful globes and aquatic characters, and there are many activities to enjoy as kids can splash and play. While the main activities and competitions are designed for children aged 7 to 10, there will also be areas for younger children to enjoy the fun pool party atmosphere.

🖼 Lange Nacht der Museen @ Museums across Berlin

Sat 26/08, 15.00-03.00, all ages

On Saturday, over 70 museums across Berlin will open their doors to visitors for the Long Night of Museums. This event is an excellent opportunity for the family to visit many museums with one ticket and see the different events and exhibitions on display. This year’s theme is “Sounds of Berlin,” in addition to the regular collections, a special program includes over 750 events and a track just for children and families. The museums stay open until 3 a.m. (although most family events end earlier), and public transport will also be available. Tickets include a 10 voucher for transport options with the Jelbi app.

Entry: 18€ for adults, free for children under 12

🎭 International Straßentheater Festival “Berlin Lacht!” @ Alexanderplatz

Sat 26/08, 13.00-22.00, all ages

Alexanderplatz becomes a stage with “Berlin Lacht!”. Experience a full program of unique street theater with non-stop shows by internationally touring artists. Shows include magic, comedy, and so much more. In addition to the shows, the program includes a market adding to the experience with a garden and options for food and drink and stands selling handmade artwork.

🎨 Sommerferien im Lehmdorf: Kreative Skulpturen formen @ Britzer Garten

Sun 27/08, 10.00-15.30, ages 3-13

Lehmdorf, located in Britzer Garten, ends its summer program this weekend and offers a workshop for children ages 3 to 13 to make their own creations with clay. The workshop allows children to use their imaginations and embrace their creativity. They will learn about the material and build their own artwork, which can then be taken home. Remember to register for this workshop in advance, as space is limited.

🎤 GEOlino macht Musik! @ Parkbühne Wuhlheide

Geolino presents an open-air concert for the whole family at Parkbühne Wuhlheide. See live performances by Deine Freunde, DIKKA, Kid Clio, Bürger Lars Dietrich, and more. The festival is organized to celebrate children’s rights and includes the vibrant concert and other activities for the family to enjoy all in the same location.

📖 Reading Festival @ WABE Berlin

Sun 27/08, 15.00-18.00, all ages

Enjoy great stories this weekend by attending Lesefest, where ten Berlin authors will read from their books in the wonderful setting of the Kulturinsel. Visitors can visit the different stations to listen to the captivating, humorous, and sentimental stories read by the people who wrote them. After the readings, guests can stay to purchase books, get them signed, and continue conversations with the authors over refreshments.
